Originally released as a limited CD-R, this new edition is expanded with two additional tracks and it has been sympathetically remastered at the hands of Meister Wahnmann (Secretlab). This iconic Ionosphere soundtrack lets the mind wander deep beyond Earth, where we are faced with endless vastness. It is nothing less than a maelstrom of sound. Full of deep, shimmering, ambient scapes and electromagnetic waves, drifting in the boundless dark.

Accompanying the Aldebaran re-edition this release is based on the Aldebaran 20th anniversary concert in Paris (9th of September 2016). Recorded during the Autumn Equinox 2016 using the backing tapes of this event, this is a beautiful deep space soundtrack transferring the original theme into a live recording environment.

New project by Austrian Arthur Rosar (former member of Abigor, Walser…). The album is a meditation on freedom from all passions (apatheia) and repentance (metanoia) through fundamental concepts established by early christian mysticism (the desert fathers) with respect to zen buddhism and pre-christian European traditions. An aural guide to force the removal of all illusions and be in total awareness of the eternal now, forging a stillness of the soul, going beyond the mundane. The music is a savvy achievement of total surrender through improvised analog atmospherics and field recordings. Recorded during lent 2016 A.D. by Arthur Rosar with Erik Mayer at Bethlehem, Vienna.

The intriguing tone colour on 'The Nine Colours Of The Threshold‘ is generally one of heroic majesty, a kind of epic intimacy, with light and sparkling fragments. It is the narrow, hidden tracks that lead back to our lost homeland, what contains the solution to the last mysteries is not the ugly scar that life´s rasp leaves on us, but the fine, almost invisible writing that is engraved on our body.

Knife Through the Spine delivers a steady cascade of abstract sounds, festering with grinding pneumatic throb, coarse frequency blasts and sputtering electronic oscillations, with spliced snippets of processed, flanged vocals and a general sense of social anxiety and disaffection. Ionophore is the project of the Bay Area/London-based multi-instrumentalists Leila Abdul-Rauf, Jan Hendrich, and Ryan Honaker. The trio weave dark electronics and neoclassical soundscapes with heavy drones, seamlessly melding the orchestral strings of Honaker, the horns and voice of Abdul-Rauf, and electronic interpretations of Hendrich. Whetter is the follow up to 2016's well-received Sinter Pools, and continues along a similar trajectory; gauzy, ethereal ambience augmented by late night textural smear, rhythmic pulsations, and abstract, affected glitch, drifting in and around and through each other in hazy patterns, warm and enveloping, pulsing and reverberating, an indistinct blur... almost tangible, but ineffable.

Himukalt was born from the obsession, addiction, and the impure thoughts of American noise artist Ester Kärkkäinen. Her impulse for self-destruction, co-mingles with self-discovery, as she confesses broken tales about sex work, manic-depression, social anxiety, dysphoria and psychic parasites. All finally leaving us to languor in her suicidal ideation and conflicted desire to be very, very alone. She swaddles those appropriations from her life and those around her in the aestheticized violence of power electronics and a death-industrial negativity, similar to that of Lille Roger, Atrax Morgue, and Master/Slave Relationship.
If facets from Kärkkäinen’s earlier albums gave you a glimpse of seeing the world of sex workers, Dreaming Of A Dead Girl lets you inside to feel their world. Clandestine, this is a door you close behind you. Through torment and despair, in darkness, a finality dissolves through hope. Metallic fluttering and empty thuds of disregarded heartbeats transmute sounds at times more substantive than the soiled words you are hearing. Yet-in the end-through all the purring, scrambled anxiety, I feel like the defiled have assumed control.
