"Emerging from a narcotic slumber, my recollections of the Minions of Ka'arth were a series of fractured episodes of strange, traumatic and thrilling events—the visual impress of obscure memories that may have been dreams, but for the signs I bore of their veracity—a sigil tattooed on my left wrist, some evidence of bladed impregnations—a salient proof of my dark adventure: the fact that it had truly happened.
The setting was one of a subterranean temple situated in a vast interior of hollowed mantle. The natural rockface of the underground formed the larger part of its prodigious walls.
