Marco Corbelli's artistic journey began in the early 90's. Under the pseudonym of Marco Rotula, he started to release a series of fanzines in A5 format. The first was "The pleasure agony", followed by "Sick" and "Murders". The aesthetics of these first fanzines were very sophisticated and the content deals with topics that will follow Marco Corbelli throughout his artistic career: sadism, schizophrenia, insanity, murder, psychosis, necrophilia, diseases, and most importantly death. In 1993, heavily influenced by his obsessions, Marco Corbelli began his musical activities creating the Slaughter Productions label and the Atrax Morgue project. Greatly inspired by Italian Power Electronics act The Sodality, with their 1987 LP ‘’Beyond Unknown Pleasures’’ and from projects as Whitehouse and Brighter Death Now, pioneers of a minimal, evil and visceral electronic, Atrax Morgue released his first tape ‘’In search of death’’ which will be followed by a series of amazing cassettes in the following years. In 1995 the activity of the Slaughter Productions became more and more frantic, releasing countless tapes. At the end of the same year produced two important works of Atrax Morgue on cassette in a very limited editions. The first titled ‘’An Expression Of Psychic Masochism’’ with one only track that was based on unique white, painful and horrific synth drones; generating a mental alteration that initiates brutal operation of psychic surgery, neuroses and split personality. The tape was released in thirty hand numbered copies wrapped in two black foam pads. The second titled ‘’Catch my agony’’ with two tracks that was founded on abrasive synth drones; the harsh and glacial sound atmosphere melts with murder, necrophilia and dead bodies forming a macabre collage. Work was inspired by novel written by Hugh Fleetwood "The Order of Death", which has also been put on the screen by the Italian director Roberto Faenza. Released in one hundred hand-numbered copies and packed in an outstanding bundle, literally stuck in a real mousetrap. The smell of death is saturated in every sound produced by the brilliant and twisted mind of Marco Corbelli in these two works. Anxiety, alienation and hypochondria turn into a deep paranoia in pain. Without hesitation, the bodies are emptied, leaving the field to an electronics purulence of rare power disconcerting. Finally reprinted in a single LP, tracks were remastered from the original tapes and the record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve w/sheet that include credits and art from first original Slaughter Productions logo (from first fanzines), in an edition of 199 copies.

Previously known as U-731, Gordon Lazarus’ project returns to the Malignant roster, now as a duo and rebranded as United Front. The same incendiary and antagonistic principles apply as before, only heightened and intensified with By All Means II (The Fall of Church and State), which burns with fervency and scalding anger, painting a picture of a country rife with corruption and spiraling towards war and strife. Even as it’s primarily centered around US policy, this has a more distinctly European feel than before, channeling mid-late 90’s German acts with its singular frequency throbs, samples, hostile vocals, and ominously atmospheric washes of toxic electronics. Released as a joint experience between Oppressive Resistance Recordings and Malignant, By All Means II is a dire proclamation and should serve as a wake up call to those previously content to sit by the wayside. Few names imply mind-bending, forward thinking heavy electronics like Finnish stalwarts STROM.ec, and with every release, they seem to further stretch the boundaries of what can be a pretty rigid genre, and navigate realms never before seen or heard. Similar things can be said of Norwegian atmospheric heavy weight and Malignant staple, Kristoffer Oustad, whose particular strain of dark ambient and post-industrial soundscapes are incredibly dynamic, at times surreal and cinematic, other times more driving and heavy, but all with a recognizable, highly emotive touch. Put the two together, and you get the debut of their collaborative project, STROMSTAD. Spread out over 8 tracks, this is a dizzying exploration of sound and vocal fury, where mechanized pulsations, writhing frequency oscillations, and grinding machine loops meet stretches of drifting darkness and touches of musicality, suggestive of a future that’s dystopic and bleak on one hand, yet highly innovative and revolutionary on the other. Malignant Records

On February 24, 2001 Marco Corbelli take part in the performance “Autopsia dell’opera d’arte vivente come vivisezione del corpo di dio” in the Viareggio art gallery, Studio D’Arte Memoria Indelebile. Together with three other artists he stages an autopsy on a shapeless body, which represents the living work of art. Corbelli actively participates in the pseudo autopsy, as well as sounding the live event. The recording of the sound performance will be released two years later on Slaughter Productions in an extremely limited box set titled Close To A Corpse consisting of three CDr. The first two CDr contain the complete live recording in the Tuscan art gallery.

Entre Vifs offers us with “Ontology” a selection of extracts from their best recent sessions. Each of these excerpts has been cautiously positioned by the authors, so that they appear like bruitist pieces, composed with care, even though all of these pieces are played live. Each time, it is a symphony of noises extremely varied in intensity and frequency where one can distinguish, with precision, the sound detached from its original source. Entre Vifs’ noise generators are delicate and relatively small in size, but the sounds they produce through mechanical means are captured by electric guitar pickups and piezoelectric cells, then sent to a battery of amplifiers and homemade effect processors. The sound passages suddenly arise from very orderly silences. The sound is extremely massive, however it is not only a question of volume but a stereophonic depth effect where sonic masses seem to thicken and change continuously. Furthermore, we sometimes hear a residual soundwave that could be due to the complexity of the material and the large number of “noisers”, in particular at the beginning of some pieces, as if the duo began its sessions in unison, that is, exactly at the same time. Entre Vifs takes us directly from the microcosm of the Entre Vifs - ONTOLOGIE air movement to the macrocosm of their organic bruitism, which is not unrelated to the title of this album. Faced with the materiality of the sound of these extracts where each piece is rendered with great sonic precision and where the sound of the “noisers” is dotted with plays in unison as if the machines began to shout at the same time, we cannot help but think of Arseny Avraamov’s “Symphony of Factory Sirens”, which in 1922 practiced the art of noises in its mechanical version using among other things the foghorns of the whole Caspian Fleet. The fact is that we cannot define the sensations of power produced by these extracts in terms pleasing to music-loving people. They are soundscapes entangled as if we had traveled quickly from the fury of the volcano to the most industrious human concentration through an avalanche at high altitude. The power of chaos is nothing more natural than what nature can produce when it speaks to us. However, it is important to understand that the administration of chaos by Entre Vifs doesn’t care to fuss over decorative effects, and that rather than tickling politely or subversively our eardrums, EV opens the doors of raw material with the joy of children who blow their balloon near our sleeping ears. With this album, we can physic ally touch the creative process of Entre Vifs, from the sometimes absurd idea of building an instrument from objects not intended to produce sounds, on to the labor of practicing this instrument long enough to improve it, finally to the joy of freeing the action with these tools at first glance recalcitrant. From the smallest of emergence, that is to say the random and stubborn idea that we discover by pure sequence of circumstances, Entre Vifs makes us hear the most massive by pushing the doors of the materiality of chaos-noise, screened through the creative human industry in its most persistent form.
